Nehemiah 8:8 "So they read distinctly from the book, in the Law of God; and they gave the sense, and helped them to understand the reading."

I came to Faith in Jesus Christ in 1980. We started attending Calvary Chapel Alpine in 1984, with Drew Macintyre as my Senior Pastor. He started me right away with being disciple'd.  I served in many ways: ushers and greeters ministry, adult discipleship, children’s nursery, and an elder. I became an ordained Pastor in 1994 and served as Assistant to Pastor Drew. I have gone on many mission trips to various places including: Mexico, Philippines, China, Japan, Russia, Cuba, Israel and this year to Cambodia on a Medical Missions trip. The Lord used these trips to prepare me for even more ministry.

My wife and I moved 35 miles away from Alpine, because of a new job I started working at in 2005. And, after serving with Pastor Drew for 17 years, I was asked to start a home Bible study group at my new home. We started the Bible Study group in 2008 and after 2.5 years and much prayer we could see the need for a church to be planted in Boulevard, CA. So, in July of 2011, the church was started.  I am so incredibly thankful to the LORD, for the ministry HE has entrusted to me to shepherd.

Update: August 2nd, 2020, starts a new chapter for Calvary Chapel Boulevard. The church is moving to Jacumba and will now be called Calvary Chapel Jacumba. We are looking forward to serving the people in Boulevard and Jacumba.
